Based on my experience and many other have shared in multiple forums, certain countries such as China, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Nigeria, Ghana, Turkey, Romania, Lebanon, Russia, Pakistan and Vietnam are considered to be bad traffic countries. A few of many reasons are that they use a gigantic amount of bandwidth to access porn and warez sites and secondly advertising companies such as adsense pay really small to zero commission perclick from those countries. So there’s no points for us proxy webmasters to let them accessing and wasting our bandwidth.

The question is, how can we block them? Actually there are many solutions to this matter, paid and free services are available in the net. The easiest solution is to put a range of IPs used by those countries in your glype proxy’s ban setting. This is the built-in feature in glype proxy script which can be accessed easily through its admin control panel. Here’s what you need to do:
# Download the IP BAN list at the end of this post

# Open it using your favourite text editor

# Select all and paste it in IP Ban column at Glype proxy admin panel (See Screen Shot)

# Save changes

# And you are good to go.

As we all know, proxy websites consume a lot I mean a lot of bandwidth especially those which have so many visitors can even reach 10k – 50k bandwidth in 1 – 3 days. The problem is, bandwidth is expensive! So what can we do to optimize the bandwidth usage?

One of many ways to optimize the bandwidth usage is by adjusting your proxy website setting in admin control panel:

• # Set max file limit low enough for your users to access regular sites (porn and warez websites consume unbelievable amount of bandwidth).
• # Block certain countries which is known as bad traffic countries by blocking their IP addresses
• # Block advertisements from being displayed in proxified pages

I’ll post another article discussing the first 2 topics in the list above later. Now I’ll start with the 3rd one, block advertisement in your proxified pages.

How can we do that? very easy, I’ve compiled a list of adversiting websites and all you need to do is paste that list into your blacklist column in admin control panel. See the screenshot below:

Installation
It’s very simple:

• download the plugins here Note: There is a file embedded within this post, please visit this post to download the file.
• extract it to your PC
• you’ll have 3 files (2 php file and 1 swf file) in 2 folders “includes” and “plugins”
• upload those files in plugins folder into glype’s plugins folder in your host
• go to yourdomain.com/admin.php –> login –> edit setting tab –> IMPORTANT! take note of all settings –> log out
• upload the file in “includes” folder to “includes” folder in your host
• refresh yourdomain.com/admin.php, there you’ll have to set a new username and password (you can use the old one)
• re-enter all settings according to your note.
